Career at Slum Soccer
Slum Soccer and Deafkidz International have been awarded 3-year funding by Comic Relief UK to implement and deliver an exciting new life skills programme, DeafKidz Goal!, for Deaf children and young people in Nagpur through the platform of football (soccer) coaching.
Over 3 years, the DeafKidz Goal! programme will see Deaf children and young people in Nagpur receiving holistic support to lead safe, secure and settled lives. Using the platform of football to engage, Deaf coaches will be trained todeliver life skills and wellbeing sessions to Deaf children and young people, enabling them to develop their life and social skills and progress to leadership opportunities. Also the project will establish robust pathways of care and support to child protection services, Deaf schools and audiology services for Deaf children and young people.
We are very excited and enthusiastic about this unique pilot project, and our new project team must feel the same! We are looking for highly motivated, experienced and passionate candidates to apply for our following vacancies:-
Project Manager: To design, manage, deliver, monitor and evaluate the overall 3-year programme.
Project coordinator: To assist the Project Manager in coordinating and providing programmatic and administrative support for the DeafKidz Goal! programme.
In-house Indian Sign Language Interpreter: To provide Indian sign language interpreting support for programme activities.
Full time contract (fixed - 3 years), hours to be flexible based on service need. Allpositions will involve evening and weekend work as and when required.
The successful candidates will be based at Slum Soccer’s Headquarters - KridaVikasSanstha Nagpur, St. Ursula Premises, Red Cross Road, Civil Lines, Nagpur, Maharashtra 440001 but will involve travel throughout the Maharashtra region and beyond as required.
