As the countdown begins for the National Inclusion Cup 2020 all our partners from various states across India are eagerly and enthusiastically preparing for the 19th edition of the tournament scheduled to be held between 28th February and 3rd of March, 2020 In Goa. In all, 48 teams from 24 states of India will be participating.
In order to have the best teams representing their respective states in the National Inclusion Cup 2020, we started the selection process in November 2019 by conducting State Inclusion Cup all across India focusing on young players belonging to marginalized sections and communities of the society. This tournament aims to provide an opportunity for them to play football at a competitive level while encouraging them to showcase their inner talents to be selected to represent their state. Many hidden football talents have been unearthed among the youth of our intervention communities through this tournament.
State Inclusion Cup Delhi 2019 (Men)
The tournament was held on 27th November 2019 in Trilokpuri, New Delhi. Eight teams from all over Delhi participated. After the intense league matches, the top four teams qualified for the knockout phase. The finals were played between Khichipur and Hasanpur teams where Khichipur emerged as winners with a score of 4-3 at the final whistle.
State Inclusion Cup Tamilnadu 2019 (Men)
A two-day tournament was held on 28th-29th December 2019, at Varatharajanpet, Virundhachalam in Tamilnadu. The tournament drew enthusiastic participation with 16 teams from different districts turning up for this tournament. Since the tournament was based on knock-out format, all teams gave their hundred percent in every match to qualify for the finals. After intense competition, teams from Jayamkodam and Virundhachalam reached the finals. In a fast-paced evenly placed match, Team Jayamkodam lifted the trophy of State Inclusion Cup 2019 by scoring a solitary goal through penalty.
State Inclusion Cup Chhattisgarh 2019 (Men & Women)
The tournament was held on the 27th of December 2019 at Swami Vivekanand ground, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The tournament was based on league format. Women category 8 teams from various parts of the state participated. Durg, Bhilai, Raipur, and Rajnandgaon made their way to the semifinals.
The final match, played between Raipur and Bhilai was intense and gave spectators amazing experience of the football match. The first half ended without a score. In the second half, Team Raipur came up with a scintillating display and scored 3 back to back goals. As the final whistle blew Team Raipur maintained the lead and lifted the trophy.
In the men’s category, 8 teams from different states participated in the knockout tournament. The matches were highly intense and exciting for spectators. The final was played between Team Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon. For the first time, Bilaspur lifted the winner’s trophy in Men’s category tournament with a score of 5-3.
State Inclusion Cup Haryana 2019!
State Inclusion Cup Haryana was organized on the 19th &20th of October 2019 at Palwal, Haryana. The tournament brought 16 teams from different districts together to participate in this two-day league based tournament.
For the finals, Team Baroli and team Karnal faced each other. As the final clash started both teams gave their best Team Karnal scored the first goal in the first half and the second half scored one more goal giving Karnal clean a decisive victory.
