At Slum Soccer, we believe in the transformative power of football not just on the field, but also in the lives of those we reach. Today, we took a significant step forward in our mission to create a safer and more respectful environment for all our members. We conducted a comprehensive training session on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) awareness, and we're excited to share the insights and learnings from this impactful event.

Led by the esteemed Dr.Kanak Wadhwani, she is associated with Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur as an "Assistant Professor". She is a dynamic professional with more than 15 years of experience in Academics and Corporate Training.

The session was a deep dive into the legal frameworks surrounding sexual harassment, including the Vishakha Guidelines Law of 1997 and the Handbook on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act of 2013. Through interactive discussions and insightful presentations, our team gained a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities in creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

One of the key takeaways from the training was the importance of everyone's awareness and commitment to supporting our female staff and coaches. We emphasized the significance of ensuring they feel secure and empowered in their roles. By equipping ourselves with knowledge and understanding, we reaffirm our dedication to upholding the highest standards of respect, dignity, and inclusivity within Slum Soccer.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr.Kanak Wadhwani for her invaluable expertise and guidance throughout the session. Her dedication has enriched our understanding of POSH principles and empowered us to champion a safer workplace for all. Together, we stand united in our commitment to fostering a culture of respect, where every member of our organisation can thrive without fear of harassment or discrimination.

This training session marks just one step in our ongoing journey towards creating a safer and more inclusive environment at Slum Soccer. We're committed to continuing this important work and to ensuring that our organisation remains a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.

Join us as we continue to strive towards a future where respect, dignity, and equality are not just ideals, but lived realities for all. Together, we can make a difference, both on and off the field.
